Death
Clifford William Edwards, 73, died unexpectedly Friday, March 28, 1992, in Putnam County. Born at Otterbein on July 20, 1918, he lived most of his life in Lafayette. He married Patricia Woodruff on Oct. 22, 1971, at Danville, IL, and she survives. [His first marriage was to Virginia Woodruff on Aug. 23, 1943, at Harrisburg, PA; they divorced.] Mr. Edwards last worked at National Homes. Before that, he worked at Alcoa, Essex Wire, and Duncan Electric. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. [Wounded in Belgium in January, 1945, he was a Purple Heart recipient.] Surviving with his wife are seven sons, Larry Steve Edwards, Tony Edwards, Ronny Edwards, Brady Edwards, Ricky Edwards, Jimmy Edwards, and Ricky Woodruff, all of Lafayette; four daughters, Jettie Norris of San Diego, CA, Marsha Furr of Attica, Patty Edwards, and Anna Edwards, both of Lafayette; two brothers, George Edwards and Quenton Edwards, both of Lafayette; four sisters; 31 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Lafayette Journal & Courier Lafayette, Indiana, March 31, 1992
