Death
Graveside rites for Cooper C. Clifton, Sr., age 74, of Bradenton, Florida, a former resident of Covington, who died Wednesday, August 13, in Florida, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Hope Cemetery here. The Rev. Donald True officiated and the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Clifton was born November 15, 1894, in Williamsport, the son of Thomas A. and Lorena Pomeroy Clifton. He was married to Ruth M. Furr, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one son, Cooper C. Clifton Jr., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Covington Friend, August 20, 1969
