Death
Goldie Furr Chapman of Berryville, a resident of Valley View Nursing Home, Berkeley Springs, WV passed away November 12th. She was born October 15, 1896 in Meyerstown, WV to the late William and Lydia Barr Furr. She was a long time member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Berryville. She married George R. Chapman at Summit Point Methodist Church, November, 1913. She survived by daughter, Nellie Chapman Shull of Charles Town, WV; sons George W. Chapman of Forestville, MD, Raymond L. Chapman of Honolulu, HI and Charles R. Pete Chapman of Rancho Cordova, CA and one sister, Jessie Furr Kelly of Charles Town, WV; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Services were conducted by the Reverend D. J. Garrett on November 15th with burial in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, Clarke Co. VA.Endnotes
