Death
STAUNTON - Mrs. Bessie Truslow Andrews Furr, 79, of Route 4, Box 93, Staunton, died Saturday (Nov. 2, 1991) at her residence. She was born June 27, 1912, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late George W. and Annie Strange Truslow (of Nelson County). Mrs. Furr was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Nancy Bashlor of Waynesboro; a brother, George Truslow of Stuarts Draft; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Wesley Andrews, on Jan. 31, 1976, and Murray L. Furr, on Sept. 2, 1984. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olivet Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Joseph C. Brandon. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Anthony Bashlor, Torbert Alan Bashlor, Robert Hicks, Philip Balsley, Paul C. Furr and Ronald D. Viers. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service. The family will receive friends at Hamrick Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church, 1019 Richmond Ave., Staunton,Va. 24401.
