Death
Cecil Jenkins, 78, of Macfarlan, Ritchie County, died Monday evening, Jan. 22, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, folowing an extended illness. Born in Ritchie County, he was a son of the late Benjamin F. and Martha Nutter Jenkins. Prior to his illness, he was employed as an oil worker and a timberer. He was a member of the Pine Twist Baptist Church in Wirt County. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara Furr Jenkins; two sons, Carl Jenkins of Parkersburg, and Dale Jenkins of Colliers; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Lynch of Elyria, O., Mrs. Irene Kerns of California, and Yvonne Collins of Cleveland, O.; four brothers, William Jenkins of Weirton, Monroe Jenkins of Canton, O., Lafe Jenkins of Cleveland, O., and Wilford Jenkins of Macfarlan; one sister, Mrs. Almeta Newbrough of Harrisville; 14 grandchilden and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Macfarlan Presbyterian Church, the Rev. C.E. Hutchinhson and the Rev. Frank J. Turnbull officiating. Burial followed in the Nutter Cemetery.Endnotes
