Death
Mary Marjorie 'Marge' Callahan, age 72, of Manassas, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at her home after a long battle with cancer. Marjorie would have been 73 on Christmas day. She was the daughter of the late Charles Francis Moran and Colletta Frances Benden from Ashville, Pa. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas and was Past President 3rd Degree, George Brent Council 5332 Ladies Auxiliary and Past President 4th Degree, Bishop Flaherty Assembly Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Callahan was also a member of Prince William Hospital Auxiliary Association, AT&T Pioneers T-Lu and lifelong friend of the Nuns of St. Benedictine Monastery. She had retired from Manassas City School System as a bookkeeper after 13 years of service. She is also preceded in death by her loving stepfather, James Montgomery and two sisters, Olivia Becker and Janet Krug. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 1/2 years, Robert F. Callahan; four daughters, Patricia Casey and husband, Terence of Fredericksburg, Donna Malato and husband, James of Manassas, Norma Furr and husband, Tim of Warrenton and Margaret Jarrett and husband, Scott of Manassas; seven grandchildren, Chrissy and Billy Casey, Melissa, Bobbie and Cassie Malato, Jesi Furr and Ryan Jarrett; one sister, Helen Mansfield of Oakfield, N.Y.; five nieces; and five nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, where a rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday. The funeral liturgy will be offered 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, with the Rev. Robert C. Cilinski officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.
