Death
Robert Francis Callahan, age 76, of Manassas, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Bob was retired from American Telephone and Telegraph after 38 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas and was a member of Knights of Columbus George Brent Council 5332 and the Bishop J. Lewis Flaherty Assembly #1678. Bob was a member of the AT&T Pioneers T-Lu and a lifelong friend of the Nuns of St. Benedictine Monastery. He also was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Loyal Order of Moose, Veterans of Foreign War, The American Legion, and The Usher Ministry of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 1/2 years Mary Marjorie "Margie" Callahan and two brothers, Andrew and Donald Callahan. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Casey and husband Terence of Fredericksburg, Donna Malato and husband James of Manassas, Norma Furr and husband Timothy of Warrenton, and Margaret Jarrett and husband Scott of Manassas; seven grandchildren, Chrissy and Billy Casey, Melissa, Bobbie, and Cassie Malato, Jesi Furr and Ryan Jarrett; sister Mary McGough of St. Augustine, Pa.; five nieces; and five nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas where a rosary will be said 8 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral liturgy will be offered 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, with the Rev. Robert C. Cilinski officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Nuns of St. Benedictine Monastery, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, Virginia 20136, in memory of Robert F.
