Death

Juanita Croy Kramer Furr, 89, died at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 3, 2000, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born July 5, 1911, in Licking County to Wellington Millard and Hazel Lewis Croy. On Nov, 16, 1938, she married John P. Furr, who died July 7, 1995. Mrs. Furr was a homemaker. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Alger. She was a 1929 graduate of McGuffey High School. Survivors include a daughter Anna Mae Kramer Shadley of Alger; a sister, Ina Ruth Bickham of Middletown, Ind.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wellington Kenneth Croy; a sister, Helen Holtman and a granddaughter. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. The Rev. Calvin Waugh will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, St. Rita’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice.
