Death

Christina Catherine Gaston, 84, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away on September 15, 2014 in Wichita Falls.  A Memorial service was held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Burkburnett, Texas. Christina will be buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, Illinois.  Christina was born on September 13, 1930 in Shelbyville, Illinois, to Allen and Marjorie Furr. She married Charles E. Gaston on March 29, 1952 in Shelbyville, Illinois. She was married for 62 years and was a devoted homemaker, raised 3 children and volunteered for the school programs. Christina graduated from Tower Hill High School in Tower Hill, Illinois in 1948 and from Business School in St. Louis, Mo., in 1950. She was a legal secretary at Lawson Air Force Base, Columbus, Georgia.  Mrs. Gaston was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clyde and Russell Furr. She is survived by her husband Charles Gaston of Iowa Park, Texas; one daughter, Vickie Lyon and husband Ron of Van Meter, Iowa; two sons, Ronald Scott and wife Nada, of Wichita Falls, Texas and Gary Dennis of Pflugerville, Texas; a granddaughter Heidi R.
