Death
Hillsboro, Feb 22 -- Mrs. Pearl Long, 50 wife of VA Long of this place, died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Monday evening at 1:40 o'clock. An operation was performed a week ago in an effort to save her life. The deceased was the only daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Furr. She was born on a farm near Hillsboro, July 6, 1881 and spent all her life in this immediate vicinity. She was married to VA Long December 24, 1889. The survivors include the husband; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Alvey of near Hillsboro and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Furr also of near Hillsboro. Mrs. Long was a member of the Ingersoll Chapel Church and always been active workers in the church. The funeral services will be held at the home east of Hillsboro on Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. H.A. Davis of near Indianapolis. Burial will take place in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.Endnotes
