Death
Ellen Webster Leake, 87, 433 W. Water Street, Harrisonburg died Saturday at her home. Mrs. Leake was born March 31, 1900 in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Mick and Harrite Long Webster. She had lived in Harrisonburg all her life and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. In 1917, she married Clarence S. Leake, who died in October 1966. Surviving are 10 children, Constance Knupp, Annabel Fawley, Joan Grandle, Gwinette Furr and Aubrey, Donald and Olin Leake, all of Harrisonburg, Sandra Crippen of Great Falls, Andrea Rhodes of Broadway and Dennis Leake of Florence, S.C.; two sisters, Dorothy and Polly Webster, both of Harrisonburg; 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church by Dr. John F. Sloop and Rev. Joseph Sefcik. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral home.Endnotes
