Death

John E. Furr, a native of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2004 at his residence in Stockton. He was born May 3, 1947. John worked 35 years at Del Monte. John was a graduate of the University of Illinois and moved to California in the June of 1989 from Mendota, IL. He loved his corvette convertible and driving in the mountains, NASCAR racing, golfing, and being with all of his friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy Furr of Stockton, and his children, Jeffry Furr of Woodbridge and Tracy Howell and her husband Gary of Stockton. He is the son of George Furr of Harlingen, TX and the late Rosemary Furr. He is also survived by his brother Rich Furr of Champaign, IL, his sister Donna Hines and her husband Jack of Oregon, IL; grandchildren, Greg, Tara and Seth and his nephews, Tad Hubner and Spencer Hines. Services: Monday, August 2, 2004 at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA at 1:00 p.m. Visitation: Sunday, August 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Committal will be private.
