Death
WINNSBORO — Services for Msgt. Robert Lee Furr, 52, of Winnsboro are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in McCrary-Edwards-Cain Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Melvin Harrell officiating. Burial is scheduled in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Msgt. Furr died Sunday morning in a Carswell, N.M., hospital after a long illness. A Gilmer County, West Virginia native, he was a retired Air Force man. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Floy Furr of Winnsboro; four daughters, Mrs. Sandy Spinner of Cartersville, Ga., Mrs. Linda K. Carney of Midwest City, Okla., Miss Laurene Lee Furr of Choctow, Okla., and Mrs. Robbie Robertson of Dallas; one son, Billie Eddy of Dallas; three brothers, Arden Furr of England, Jim Furr of Cleveland, Ohio, and Carroll Furr of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Blakeley of Michigan, Mrs. Shelia Crain of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Marguarete Gregory of New Lebanon, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
