Death

Mrs. Nancy Ann Smith, 48, of 3401 Manor Ave. died Tuesday. Born in Middleburg, Va., she was a daughter of Mrs. Maudie Ryan Furr and the late Thomas Furr. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Smith Sr.; daughters, Mrs. Debra R. Beck, Mrs. Barbara J. Miller and Mrs. Sandra D. Wentzel, all of Columbia; sons, David W. Smith of Columbia, Joe W. Smith of Killian and Charles E. Smith Jr. of Hickory, N.C.; her mother of Virginia; and sisters, Miss Janie Furr of Middleburg and Mrs. Virginia Bradshaw of Key West, Fla. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel of West Columbia, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
