Death

Julia Ann Furr, 71, of Mt. Zion, Illinois, formerly of Pana, Illinois, passed away at 1:32 PM Friday, July 12, 2002 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur. Mrs. Furr was born July 12, 1931 in Ohlman, Illinois, the Daughter of Theodore and Katherine Barringer Stockdale. She was a homemaker and enjoyed antiquing, traveling, playing bridge and being with her family. She married George H. Furr October 5, 1973 and he survives. Also surviving are sons Terry Stein of Bond County, Illinois and Larry Stein and wife Veronica of Normal, Illinois; daughters Diane Hendricks and husband Charles of Decatur and Beverly Schwarm and Husband Russell of Loogootee, Illinois; step-sons John Furr and Nancy of Stockton, California and Richard Furr of Champaign, Illinois; step-daughter Donna Hines and husband Jack of Oregon, Illinois, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Theodore. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM July 16, 2002 in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
