Death
Petersburg, June 17. -- William Furr, 41, of Washington, D. C., received fatal injuries in truck crash on Route 460 about a half mile from the Petersburg city limits on the south shortly after 11 o'clock yesterday when the produce truck on which he was riding failed to negotiate a curve and overturned. Furr was rushed to the Petersburg hospital but lived only about five minutes after being admitted. Willie McClamm, of Scranton, S C., driver of the truck on which Furr is understood to have been given a ride, escaped with minor injuries. He faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the accident and will receive a hearing before Trial Justice Binford, at Prince George courthouse, Thursday. The truck was owned by Roy VanderCliff of Scranton, S. C.The Richmond News Leader, Richmond, Virginia, June 17, 1935
