Death

Clifford Jenks, 82, Route 2, Veedersburg, died at 5:30 a.m. August 10, 1991 at his home. He had been in ill health since 1983. He was born April 23, 1909 in Parke County to Enos and Mary Hybarger Jenks. He was married December 30, 1933 to Margaret Furr. She survives. He retired from the Fountain County Highway Department in 1976. He was also a farmer. Surviving, besides his wife, are: one son, Duane, Veedersburg; one daughter, Shirley Strean, Veedersburg; one sister, Lulu Misner, Covington; a granddaughter, Denis Dickson; two great-granddaughters, Courtney and Jessica Dickson, Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one grandson, seven brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Paul Ray Jr. officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery.
