Death
Edward Duane “Bud” Jenks, 83, of Veedersburg, passed away 10:49 AM Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette, Indiana.Bud was born February 3, 1938 in rural Veedersburg the son of Clifford and Margaret E. (Furr) Jenks; they have preceded him in death. He married Marlene E Conrad May 26, 2012, she survives. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Strean, and Jacqueline Jenks; and a grandson, Brandin Bacon. Surviving family include his wife Marlene E Jenks, Veedersburg; two daughters, Teresa (Mike Mahoney) Conrad, West Lebanon; Vickie (Pete) King, Veedersburg; a son, James (Sheri) Conrad, Veedersburg; a special niece Denise (Jeff) Duncan, along with her daughters Courtney and Jessica; four grandchildren, Brian (Jenifer) Bacon, Tiffany (Tyler) Bowling, Tee Goodman, Tiauna Goodman; and seven great-grandchildren. Bud attended Rabb School and graduated from Perrysville High School in 1956; after graduation he served his country in the US Army being stationed in Hawaii. After his time in the Army he worked as a farmer and was employed as a mechanic for over 30 years at the Fountain County Highway Department prior to his retirement. He enjoyed collecting Farmall antique tractors, and woodworking. He also enjoyed teasing his grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday February 7, 2022 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM Monday at the funeral home and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.Endnotes
