Death
SHELBYVILLE -- Faye D. Furr, 81, of Shelbyville died 2 a.m. Sunday (March 29, 1998) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials: Fellowship Baptist Church, Shelbyville, or Gideons International. Mrs. Furr was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Shelby County, the daughter of John and Hattie Syfert Edwards. She was affiliated with Fellowship Baptist Church in Shelbyville. She married Charles F. Furr on Nov. 17, 1935. Surviving are her husband; son, Wayne Furr and wife Dixie of Shelbyville; daughter, Joyce Largent and husband Glenn of Bethany; brothers, Ted and Ray Edwards, both of Shelbyville; Ruben Edwards of Pana; sister, Ruby Tripp of Stuart, Fla.; grandchildren, Tom Furr, Patti Kitchen, Dan Largent and Cindy Rankin; great-grandchildren, Chris, Michael and Donnie Largent and Matthew Kitchen. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Warren Edwards, sisters, Zella Jones, Della Onken, Elsie Brehmer, Hazel Edwards and Roxy Hall and great-grandson, Andy Largent.Endnotes
