Death
Services for Charles F. Furr, 87, of Shelbyville were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville. He died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 in Shelby Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 9, 1913 in Rose Township in Shelby County, he was the son of Oscar and Mattie Hayward Furr. He was a retired farmer and a 1932 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Shelbyville. He married Faye Dell Edwards Nov. 17, 1935, and she died March 29, 1998. Survivors include a son, Wayne Furr of Shelbyville; daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Joyce) Largent of Bethany; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
