Death

Mrs. Doyle (Ardella F.) Hoksey, 62, of Wedron died at Ryburn Hospital Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hulse Funeral Home with the Rev. William Kermott of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in West Serena Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. Memorials to the Wedron Methodist Church are the preferred means of remembrance. She was born Sept. 4, 1908, in Wedron to John and Lura DeBolt Furr. On June 21, 1936, she married Doyle Hxsey. She was a member of the Wedron Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Martin (Lurita) Adams of Lafayette, Ind, and Mrs. William (Inette) Godman of Chicago; one son, Merwin Hoxsey of San Diego, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Stanely Twait, Byron Hoxsey, Warren Hoxsey, Woodrow Hoxsey, Roland Stafford and Ted Vatland.
