Death
Rites for W. C. Furr Scheduled TonightFuneral services for William C. Furr, 68, auditor at the City Post Office who died Saturday at his home, 1318 C Street, N.E., will be held at 8 o'clock tonight. Mr. Furr, a native of Woodstock, had been with the city post office since 1907, when he was appointed a substitute carrier. He had been one of the top officials at the post office for the last 15 years. He was active as a member of the Epworth Church for more than 25 years, serving as superintendent of the Sunday School, church treasurer and auditor. He belonged to the Hiram Lodge of the Masonic Order, the Postal Service Square Club, and the National Association of Postal Supervisors. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mollie M. Furr; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Binkley, Toledo, Ohio; a brother. Walter E. Furr, Cumberland, Md.; a half-sister, Mrs. John Lambert, brother, Frank Furr, and his step mother, Mrs. Mary Furr, both of 3046 Vista street N.E.
