Death

John D. Weber, 82, of Route 4 Veedersburg died Feb. 27, 1991 at 3:10 p.m. at his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1908 in Vermillion County, IL to Henry and Della Hoffman Weber. He married June 15, 1935 to Claudine Purr. She still survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Larry from Covington and Robert from Crawfordsville; two daughters, Martha Martle of Veedersburg and Lois De Vrise of Lafayette; one brother Henry of Veedersburg and one sister May York of Veedersburg; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. John lived in the Veedersburg area since 1927. He was a member of Stone Bluff United Methodist Church and worked for Harrison Steel for 20 years. He farmed for 18 years. Services are at Stone Bluff United Methodist Church on Saturday, Mar. 9 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Ziebert officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. The body will lie in state from noon until time of service.
