Donald Lee "Don" FURR

(October 28, 1938 - October 14, 2020)

Donald Lee Furr will turn 80 years young on Oct. 28, 2018, being the only child born to Donald Benjamin and Opal Imogene (Cooper) Furr, in St. Joseph. He graduated from Benton High School, Class of 1956. He retired with the rank of SMSgt, as a Supply Warehouse Supervisor, from the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard, on Dec. 31, 1991, after 36½ years of service. After Don’s retirement, he and wife, Dixie, moved to Grand Lake of the Cherokees, Grove, Oklahoma. Returning to St. Joseph in 2002. A party is being held to celebrate this milestone from Noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Issac Hall, 3801 Charles St., St. Joseph, MO 64506.
