GROVE, Okla.- Opal I. Furr, 88, Grove, formerly of St. Joseph, MO. died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at an Oklahoma hospital. Mrs. Furr owned and operated the former Furr Neighborhood Grocery Store, St. Joseph, for many years. Born Feb. 2, 1910, in Maysville, Mo., she lived most of her life in St. Joseph, moving to Oklahoma six years ago. Mrs. Furr was a member of the King HIll Christian Church and the Robidoux Rebecca Lodge No. 851, both of St. Joseph. Preceding her in death are her husband, Donald; three brothers, Ralph, Glen and Henry W. Cooper; and a sister, Mable Culver. Surviving: a son, Donald L., Grove; a sister, Hazel Sherlock, Savannah, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
