Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Dailey Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry, WV for Jesse Sylvester Dailey, Jr., 38 year old Harpers Ferry man, who died Friday, from poison from an insect bite. The Rev. Lambert Stack officiated and burial was made in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Harpers Ferry, WV
Arrangements for the funeral were handled by Smith and Strider Funeral Home in Charles Town, WV. Dailey owner and operator of the Jefferson County Monument Sales, was placing a monument in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Round Hill, VA when he was stung by an insect.
The deceased had also been employed for the past ten yers by the Federal Aviation Agency in Leesburg, VA. Born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, he was the son of Mrs. Pauline Hutchison Bodmer Dailey and the late Jesse Sylvester Dailey, Sr. He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Harper Ferry, the Friendship Fire Company, and the Loyal Order of Moose of Brunswick, MD. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Pendley Dailey; one daughter, Diane L. Dailey, at home; two sons, James R. Dailey, and Jay T. Dailey, both at home; one brother, J. Thomas Dailey of Harpers Ferry; and one nephew, Keith T. Dailey, of Harpers Ferry, WV.
