Death
Howard B. Furr, 81, 818 N. Ninth St., died early Thursday morning at his home. Born at Breckenridge, Mo., he resided in St. Joseph since 1919. He retired from the ADM Milling Co., where he was employed as millwright. Mr. Furr was a member of the King Hill United Methodist Church, a member of the Themis Sunday School Class of the church and served on the church's board of directors for many years. Surviving are his wife, Elsie Furr of the home, a daughter, Cecile Buckner, Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Donald B. Furr, St. Joseph; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a nephew. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clark-Lindsey Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening.
