Death
Mrs. Minnie Etta Scovell, age 83, of Knightstown, R.R. 1, died Sunday morning at 2 o'clock at her home after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Scovell was born in the Knightstown vicinity, Nov. 10, 1866, and had made her home here practically her entire life. She became a member of the Knightstown Christian Church in 1885. For a period of years she taught school in the vicinity. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Edward Stickler of Knightstown; a son, Lloyd Scovell; one brother, Edward Furr of Knightstown; four grandchildren: Robert Gilson of Indianapolis, Max Gilson of Rushville, and Mrs. Betty Lynch & Miss Barbara Stickler, both of Knightstown; and also three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Butcher-Bentley Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call any time up to the hour of the funeral at the Butcher-Bentley Funeral Home in Knightstown.Endnotes
