Police have identified a man whose body was found Friday inside a burning pickup near FM 201 and Texas 195. Donald R. Simmons, 74, of Killeen was in the cab of a 2002 Chevrolet pickup that officials found engulfed in flames after it had travelled off a road and across a field. Simmons’ autopsy results from the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas are not available; officials said the results could take up to six weeks, due to further testing.
