Death
Roger Thomas Furr Jr., 48, of 303 Grenedier Drive, Liverpool, died Tuesday at his home after a short illness. Mr. Furr was a drug and alcohol therapy aide at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital for 19 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Mattydale American Legion Post. He was a volunteer for Salt City Little League and Immaculate Heart of Mary youth basketball program. Mr. Furr was born in DuBois, Pa., and lived in Liverpool 26 years. Surviving are his wife, America "Mary" Furr; a son, Tom of Liverpool; a daughter, Kimberlei A. Senke of Liverpool; and three grandchildren. Services are Friday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool, at a time to be announced. Burial is in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Onondaga Hill. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 300 Second St.Syracuse Herald-Journal, Syracuse, New York, May 20, 1992
