Death

Christina Cain, 91, Rt. 1, Walker, died Tuesday morning, June 17, at the St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late James and Anna Greiner Ross. She was a member of the Ross Memorial Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Deskins of Vienna and Mrs. Donna Griffith of Joplin, Mo.; three sons, Walden of Chillicothe, Ohio, Neville and Orville Cain, both of Walker; a sister, Mrs. Martha Bennett of Washington, D.C.; a brother, James Ross of Akron, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sy Cain, in 1955; a son, Willard; four sisters and two brothers. Services were conducted Friday at the Franklin & Son Funeral Chapel with John Oddie officiating. Burial was in the Kanawha Baptist Cemetery.
