Death

Mrs. Edna Marie Trenum, age 92, a resident of the Willow Knoll Retirement Community, Middletown, died Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 1999. She was born in Elk Garden, W.Va., on Aug. 28, 1906, a daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth(Poland)Metcalf. She and her late husband, the Rev. C.W. Trenum, had pastored multiple churches in the mid-Atlantic region, and pastored the Full Gospel Tabernacle and the First Christian Assembly of God in Middletown. She is survived by nine sons, C.W. Jr., and wife, Claudia, Warrenton, Va., Donald and wife, Alice, Locust Grove, Va., Norman and wife, Ruby, Middletown, David and wife, Mary, Clermont, Ind., Fitzhugh and wife, Phyllis, Middletown, Raymond and wife, Barbara, Warrenton, Gilbert and wife, Blenda, Manassas, Va., Ronald and wife, Vicki, Franklin, Ohio, and Gary and wife, Mary, Oakwood, Ohio; 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Marple, Oakland, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, the funeral home with the Rev. C.W. Trenum Jr. and the Rev. Bruce Powell officiating. The body will be taken to the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., where visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will follow in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
