Death
ALGER, April 15 - Franey Gossard, 66, died at his home in this village at 11 a.m. Wednesday following an illness of one year and one-half. A native of Auglaize-co, he had spent most of his life in Alger and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Etta; a daughter, Mrs. Effie Haux of Alger; two sons, Claude of Alger and Gale of Lima; his step-mother, Mrs. Caroline Gossard of Alger; three sisters and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, slow time, at the Central Methodist church here with Rev. Arthur Oliver and Rev. W. B. Arthur in charge. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, here.The Lima News, Lima, Ohio, April 15, 1943
