Death
Former local resident Genelle Furr, 62, died Feb. 16, 2002, at a Bellevue hospital. She was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Blue Hill, Neb., and graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1958. She attended Lower Columbia College and the University of Washington. On Nov. 24, 1963, she married Milton Furr in Longview and moved to Bellevue soon after. Mrs. Furr was a day-care provider in her home. She is survived by her husband at home; three sons, Mike Furr, David Furr and Kevin Furr, all of Bellevue; a brother, Gaylon Stowers of Longview; two sisters, Letha Hytrek of Longview and Lydell Peterson of Castle Rock; her mother, Merna Hiatt of Longview; and a grandchild. A memorial service was held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Interment has taken place at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue. Green’s Bellevue Funeral Home was in charge.Endnotes
