Notes
Death
Mrs. Florence Filler, of Friedens Church, died yesterday morning at 11:35 o'clock at Rockingham Memorial Hospital of typhoid fever after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Filler was Miss Mary Florence Virginia Earman, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Earman of Friedens Church, and was born October 25, 1867. Her age, therefore, was fifty years, seven months, and twenty-nine days. On May 24, 1887, she married John R. Filler, a prominent farmer and well known citizen of Rockingham County who died several years ago. For many years Mrs. Filler had been a member of the Lutheran Church and was a woman whose influence for good will long be felt throughout the neighborhood in which she resided. She has many friends who will learn of her death with regret. Surviving Mrs. Filler are two daughters, Mrs. J.R. Gambill, of Harrisonburg; Mrs. Jessie Meyerhoeffer, of Cross Keys; two sons, W.H. Filler of Chester, Pa.; Robert Filler at home, and one sister, Mrs. E.C. Tutwiler, of Harrisonburg. The funeral party will leave the house tomorrow morning at 10:10 o'clock and the services will be conducted at 11 o'clock from the Union Church at Cross Keys by Rev. W.B. Oney.Daily News-Record, Harrisonburg, Virginia June 25, 1918
