Death

Mrs. Mattie Lois Furr, 63, wife of Oscar G. Furr, died Monday morning (Dec. 23, 1968) at her home, 901 W, Beverley St. A native of Augusta County, she was born March 3, 1905, a daughter of the late Louis and Virginia (Fisher) Crickenberger. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Ray of Newark, Del.; four step-daughters, Mrs. 'Rebecca Breeden of Rt. 3, Staunton, Mrs. Mary Alice Breeden of Staunton, Mrs. Elizabeth Fleming of Atlantic Beach, N. C. and Mrs. Helen Hargroves of Newport News; one step-son, Oscar G. Furr Jr. of Richmond and two sisters, Mrs. Marshall Gill of Waynesboro and Mrs. Mildred Parker of Long Beach, Calif. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Fred Henry Funeral Home conducted by; Capt. Ronald L. Davis. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro.
