Death
FOWLER — Lillian L. Thornbrough Furr, 85, formerly of Monticello, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, in Health Central Park, Winter Garden, Fla. Mrs. Furr was retired from Fowler State Bank and State and Savings Bank in Monticello, where she was a teller. Born April 17, 1913, in Earl Park, she married William E. Furr on Sept. 3, 1935, in Fowler. He died on Nov. 28, 1990. Mrs. Furr was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello, and St. Matthew’s in Orlando, Fla., Women of the Moose in Monticello and Veterans of Foreign Wars lodes Auxiliary in Fowler. Surviving are a son, Thomas Edward Furr of Orlando, and a sister, Doris Stambaugh of Fowler.Journal and Courier, Lafayette, Indiana, January 27, 1999
