FORMER CHARLESTON YOUNG MAN IS DEAD Special to Journal Gazette. Charleston, Ill., Oct. 6. Raymond Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walker of Charleston, died in the People's Hospital at Akron, O., Thursday evening alter an illness of twelve weeks. The young man entered the hospital about three months ago for an emergency operation for acute appendicitis, and later was forced to submit to a second operation. While the funeral arrangements have not been completed, it is believed today that the rites and burial will be held in Danville on Sunday. Raymond Walker, aged thirty, was a well known Charleston young man. He has been employed in Akron, where for the past two years he was master mechanic for the Otis Elevator Company. He is survived by his wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walker, of Charleston, five brothers Roy and Earl of Akron, Herbert of Champaign, George of Oakland and Stanley of the U.S. Army stationed at Gettysburg, Pa., William and Clifford of Sullivan and two sisters, the Misses Helen and Grace of this city.Journal Gazette
