Death
Mary P. Muka, 80, of Buffalo Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, in Cabot. She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Baker. Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, in Natrona Heights. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, reading, sports and the Penguins. She is survived by her children, Richard (Nancy) Muka, of Springdale, Allan S. Muka, at home, Helen (David) Semego, of Columbia, Md., and Rose Furr, of Loveland, Colo.; four grandchildren, Natalie Collett, Andy Muka and Ashley and Zachary Furr; brothers, Frank (Emily) Baker, of Bel Air, Md., and Bruno (Lucy) Baker, of New Kensington; and by her sister, Alice Strathen, of Ellicott City, Md. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Muka, March 9, 2003, and by her grandson, Rick Muka. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME Natrona Heights, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. William Siple as celebrant.
