Death
Funeral services for Betty Lee McFarland Furr, who was active in volunteer work and in golfing, were held Saturday at the Ruck Towson funeral establishment, 1050 York road. Mrs. Furr, 65, of the 100 block of East Melrose avenue, died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital after a short illness. Survivors include three sons, Brooke Lee Furr of Tucson, Ariz., and James Robert Furr and William Welby Furr, both of Timonium; a sister, Mary M. Batchelor, of Leechburg, Pa., and five grandchildren. The family suggests that memorial donations be sent to St. Joseph Hospital.The Evening Sun, Baltimore, Maryland, May 18, 1981
