The home of Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Nelson was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday evening, June 5, the contracting parties being Mr. Welby M. Furr of this city and Miss Charlotte Virginia Craig of Philomont, Va. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G. W. Johnson of Grace Baptist Church. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Lelia Nelson as maid of honor and Mr. Perry Hazard as best man. Misses Eva Furr, Ethel Nelson, Elsie Furr and Theresa Palmer were bridesmaids. The bride was given away by her cousin, Mr. T. E. Garrett of Richmond, Va. Miss Margaret Furr rendered the wedding march. The bride was daintily gowned in white mull and carried bride roses. At midnight the couple left amid a shower of rice for a short trip, after which they will be at home to their friends at 244 8th street northeast, this city. The Evening Star, Washington, DC, June 8, 1907
