LINCON, Ill., Nov. 4-Miss Lucille Furr and Emil M. Lumpp, Jr., both of Lincoln, were married Saturday in St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kelly of St. Louis were attendants. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Vernice Furr and the bridegrom is a a son of Emil Lumpp, Sr., of Lincoln. Mrs. Lumpp has been employed as a recreation leader and Mr. Lumpp is employed by the Lincoln Sand and Gravel Company.Death
Funeral services for Emil M. Lumpp will be at 9: 30 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kerrigan Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Mr. Lumpp, 90, of Lincoln died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, 1991, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He was a railroad locomative operator for Lincoln Sand and Gravel Co. from 1926 unitl his retirement in 1968. He was a Navy veteran of World War 2 and a member of Holy Family church and the Operating Engineer Union 965 of Springfield. He was born Aug. 19, 1900, in Lincoln, a son of Emil Sr. and Anna Carrier Lumpp. He married Lucille Furr on Nov. 4, 1939, in St. Louis. She died Feb. 24, 1987. Surviving are one son, Michael of Lincoln; one daughter, Marilyn Wheat of Lincoln; and four granddaughters. He was proceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Memorial may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.Endnotes
