Karen Sue Furr, 63, of Rockville, Indiana died at 4:35 pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her son’s residence in Rockville. She was a homemaker. She was born September 2, 1953 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Keith Payton and Lois Jean Cooper Payton Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Furr on December 9, 2010. Survivors include one son, John (Lisa) Hughett of Rockville; one daughter, Tina (Gary) May of Montezuma; one brother, Jim Payton of LaGrange; six grandchildren, Diana, Desiree, Whitney, John III, Kaitlynn and Shane; one step-grandson, Joey; She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Payton. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, February 3, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Keith B. McIntyre officiating. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Thursday at Gooch Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville at a later date. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 in her memory.
