Death
Attica - Ormal “Sis” Lorene (Verhey) Furr, 71, Attica, passed away at her home in Attica on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 3:40 p.m. following an extended illness. Ormal was born in Covington, IN, on November 23, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mable (Kunkle) Verhey. She graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1958 and has lived most of her adult life in Attica. Ormal formerly worked at Radio Materials Corp. in Attica and later worked at the Shawnee Learning Center, near Attica. She had attended the Attica Assembly of God Church; former member of Women of the Moose Lodge # 1482 of Attica and was an avid crossword puzzle worker. Surviving are three children, Donnie B. Furr, Cindy S. (Brett) Daniel and Paul L. Furr, all of Attica. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Everett Verhey along with a sister, Margie King. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, Nov. 8th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Ray Merrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.Endnotes
