Death
Virginia R. Furr, 72, 1007 Walnut St., Veedersburg, died at 12:12 a.m. April 21, 1994 at St. Vincents Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born April 26, 1921 in Veedersburg, the daughter of Richard and Lillian V. Kelly Linker. She was married Feb. 8, 1944 in Bowmanfield, Ky. to Glenn C. Furr. He preceded in death in 1976. She had been a lifelong resident of the Veedersburg area. She retired as an LPN in November 1980 from the Veterans Administration Hospital, Danville, Ill. Surviving, are: two daughters, Jeri (Jack) Downs, Hillsboro; Teri (Don) Dyson, Williamsport; a son, Alan (Darcy) Furr, Hillsboro; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Private services were held at the Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Craig Wascovich officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Contributions should be made to the donor's favorite charity.Fountain County Neighbor, April 26, 1994
