Death

WOOSTER — Sylvia H. Furr, 89, of 125 West McConkey St., Shreve, Ohio, died Tuesday at Horns Nursing Home, Wooster, Ohio. She was born May 1, 1895 in Waverly, the daughter of George P. and Lilly Henry Hollett. Mrs. Furr was a 35-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge in Wooster, and was a graduate of Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing. Her husband, Harry Furr, died in 1975. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Gerberich of Newark, Mrs. Oliver (Betty) Ring of Shreve and Mrs. G.D. (Nancy) Bennett of Killbuck; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at MclIntire Funeral Home, Wooster, where Eastern Star services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with the Rev. W.H. Valentine officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
