James Lenard Murphy, 64, of Hattiesburg, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. this morning at Jones & Son Chapel in Hattiesburg. Burial will be in the Roseland Park Cemetery. The Revs. Jeff Myers and Sam Oglesby will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Palmer and Louise Murphy; sister, Reba Maskew; and a brother, Perry Murphy.
Survivors include his wife, Serita Murphy of Hattiesburg; sons, Chris Murphy of Raleigh and Lt. Col. David Murphy of Naples, Italy; sisters, Dale Pulliam and Linda Graham, both of Ellisville, and Nona Fant of Moss Point; brother, David Murphy of Laurel; and two grandchildren.
Jones & Son Funeral Home of Hattiesburg is in charge of the arrangements.
