Virginia "Dale" Murphy Smith Pulliam, 68, of Ellisville, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Ellisville with burial in Beech Cemetery in Ellisville. Rev. Jimmy Barber will officiate.
A member of County Line Baptist Church in Ovett, she was retired from the Jones County School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Louise Murphy; husbands, Ernest Gene Smith, and Albert L. "Red" Pulliam; brothers, James Leonard Murphy, and Perry Wayne Murphy; sister, Reba Jean Maskew.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Carmen Smith of Ellisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Herbie Windham of Laurel, Stephanie and Eric Caven, and Kelly and Dirk Thibodeaux, all of Ellisville; brother, David Murphy of Laurel; sisters, Linda Graham of Ellisville, and Nona Fant of Escatawpa; grandchildren, Mason Smith, Ethan Windham, Kyle Windham, Karley Thibodeaux; host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Maskew, Robbie Fant, Kevin Fant, Jason Murphy, Chris Murphy, Brandon Maskew, Cody Barber and Joe Holifield. Honorary pallbearer is Keith Graham.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Gideons International and American Cancer Society.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Monday, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, which is in charge of arrangements.
