Willie Mae Bullock, 86, of Laurel, formerly of Ellisville, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in Laurel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Laurel, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jones County. Dr. Randall Turner will officiate.
She was a seamstress for Reliance Manufacturing and a member of First Baptist Church of Laurel. She graduated as valedictorian of Whitfield High School, and then went back to school in 1970 to become a LPN for Jones County Community Hospital. She was very active in her churches in both Sunday School and choir.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Cole; husband, Orval Bullock; mother, Myrtle Mae Morris Laird; father, James Benjamin Laird; son, Rhudy Philip Cole; and brothers, Howard Webster Laird and James Owen Laird.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Cole Bush and husband Ray of Laurel, Loretta Bullock Fleming and husband Bruce of Jacksonville, Fla., and Barbara Bullock Blevins of Camden, Del.; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Molpus Cole of Clinton.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
