Barbara Jean Beard

Barbara Spray, 72, a Bedford, Texas resident for 44 years, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at a Burlington, Vermont hospital after a catastrophic stroke suffered while on a New England foliage tour with her husband of 53 years, Norman.
Her husband and beloved daughters, Rhonda Spray and Starla "Misty" Spray, were at her bedside.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Whiteflat Cemetery, Motley County.
Seigler Funeral Home, Matador, is handling arrangements.
Barbara went to sleep after a lovely day touring, an activity she and her husband loved to do in their motorhome. Prior to her retirement, Barbara was office manager at Norman Spray Editorial Services, a firm she and her husband operated for 31 years before retiring in 1995.
Barbara was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Beard, and a sister, Greta Joyce Hipp, all of Brownfield.
Survivors: Husband, Norman of Bedford; daughters, Rhonda Spray of Lago Vista, Starla F. Spray of Elgin and Sandra Jon Reisch of Dallas; and five grandchildren.
She was married to Norman G Spray on Jan 5, 1952.
